Merge PDF

Combine PDF files into one in your browser. Put them in order, drop or move single pages, and open password-protected PDFs. Nothing is uploaded.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded.

How to use

This tool combines several PDF files into one, in the order you choose, without uploading them anywhere.

  1. Add your PDFs: drop them on the box or choose them. You can add more at any time. Each one shows its first page, its number of pages and its size.
  2. Put the files in order with the arrows, or drag them. × removes a file.
  3. If a PDF asks for a password, type it in its row. It's only used to open that file in your browser. PDFs that only limit printing or copying open without one.
  4. To leave out single pages or change their order, turn on Choose pages one by one. Every page appears, and you can turn, move or remove any of them.
  5. Press Merge PDFs, then download the merged file. It's named after the first file in it.

The pages keep their text, pictures, links and comments at full quality: nothing is redrawn or compressed. Each file gets a bookmark with its name, holding its own bookmarks. Form fields aren't kept. A protected PDF loses its password and its limits in the merged file, and the tool says so when that happens.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The files are read and merged in your browser, and they never leave your device. That matters for contracts, statements and IDs, which many merging sites upload to their servers.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs?

Yes. Type the password when the tool asks; it's only used in your browser to open the file. PDFs that only stop printing or copying open without one. The merged PDF has no password, so keep it somewhere safe.

Does merging lower the quality?

No. The pages are copied as they are, with their text, fonts and pictures unchanged, so the merged file is about as big as the files put together. Bookmarks come along too.
