Sign PDF
Sign a PDF in your browser: draw, type or photograph your signature, place it on the page, and add the date or initials. Nothing is uploaded.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is uploaded.
How to use
This tool puts your signature on a PDF, in your browser, so the document and your signature stay on your device.
- Add the PDF: drop it on the box or choose it. If it asks for a password, type it; it's only used here.
- Make your signature. Draw it with a mouse, a finger or a pen (a pen's pressure shows in the line). Type your name and pick a handwriting style. Or Photo: sign a white sheet with a dark pen, photograph it, and the paper is made see-through. Choose black or blue Ink.
- Under Add, keep Signature, or pick Date (today's, which you can change) or Text, such as your initials.
- Click the page where it goes, or press Add to page. Drag it to move it and drag its corner to resize it. With the keyboard, choose it and use the arrow keys to move it, plus and minus to resize it, and Delete to remove it.
- For other pages, choose them in the thumbnails below. Place as many signatures, dates and initials as the document needs.
- Press Save signed PDF and download it, named like lease-signed.pdf.
To sign faster next time, turn on Keep my signature on this device. It's kept only in this browser, and turning it off forgets it.
This puts a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printout and scanning it. It isn't a certificate-based digital signature, which some contracts and official forms ask for.
Frequently asked questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
It's a picture of your signature, which many everyday agreements accept, as with a signed scan. Some contracts and official forms need a certificate-based digital signature instead; this tool doesn't make those.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. Draw your signature with your finger, then tap the page where it goes and drag it into place.
Is my signature uploaded or stored?
No. Your signature and the PDF stay on your device. The signature is kept in this browser only if you turn on Keep my signature, and turning it off forgets it.
