How to use
This page saves the pages of a PDF as PNG images, drawn in your browser, so the document never leaves your device.
- Add a PDF by dropping it on the box or choosing it. If it's protected with a password, type it when asked; it's only used here, to open the file.
- PNG is already chosen as the format. Pick a resolution: 72 DPI for a quick preview, 150 for the screen, 300 for printing or zooming in, or Custom.
- Keep All pages, or switch to Chosen pages and click the thumbnails you want.
- Press Convert to PNG, then download the images one by one, or all of them in a ZIP. Each is named after the PDF and its page number, such as report-page-03.png.
PNG is lossless, which matters for pages full of text, tables, charts and line drawings: edges stay crisp, with none of the faint smudges JPG leaves around letters. That makes it the better pick for slides, diagrams, invoices and anything you'll paste into a document or a presentation. For pages that are mostly photos, JPG files are far smaller.
Higher resolutions make bigger files. An A4 page at 300 DPI is about 2,500 pixels wide, and phones limit how big a picture can be, so if a page would be too big, the tool lowers the resolution for that page and tells you.
Frequently asked questions
Should I convert PDF pages to PNG or JPG?
PNG for text, tables, charts and drawings, which stay perfectly sharp. JPG for pages that are mostly photos, where it makes much smaller files.
Which DPI keeps the text readable?
At 150 DPI text is clear on a screen. Pick 300 for small print, for printing, or if you plan to zoom in or crop the images.
Is my PDF uploaded to convert it?
No. Your browser draws each page and saves it as a PNG on your device, so the PDF and any password stay with you.
